![]() ![]() On top of these changes, we’ve also refactored and optimized our save system, which means it’s now even faster and more reliable to save and retrieve your save. Now you can make your bases even more epic than before! We’ve also added some base pieces to Subnautica that were previously only available in Below Zero, specifically the Large Room, Glass Dome, and surface hatches. By doing this, we’ve been able to implement several quality of life features, fix many outstanding bugs, and introduce some performance improvements that were already available in Below Zero. Our goal was always to bring both Subnautica and Below Zero onto unified versions of Unity, and with today’s update, that goal has been achieved. As you might have seen in some of our previous blog posts, a lot of time has been spent addressing a ton of tech debt and bringing across some improved code from Below Zero. This update has been a labor of love for the entire Subnautica team. Overall, it has a very promising beginning, and thank you for your hard work in making this mod, but it still has a long way to go before it gets to the point that I would call it on par with the original Subnautica in VR with the VR Enhancements mod. We’re delighted to bring you the long-awaited 2.0 update to Subnautica across all platforms. This makes trying to interact with anything very hard and some dialog boxes like "are you sure you want to quit the game" can't be clicked on at all for some reason. That's what it looks like.Īlso, I played through the original Subnautica in VR with a mouse and keyboard just sitting down and could use the gaze based cursor well enough to click on all dialog boxes and buttons, but with this mod the gaze based cursor seems be at a point far away from where you are actually looking. Imagine playing a game at 20% SuperSampling. The graphics are a night and day difference to the crisp graphics you get while playing Subnautica in VR. Also, compared to the original Subnautica in VR, this mod makes the game extremely blurry even with SteamVR SuperSampling set to 200%. My head is always 5 feet above and to the right and front of the character's body (yes, I started the game (and even SteamVR) with the headset on and facing the direction I want to while playing). Promising beginning, but it still has some problems compared to the original Subnautica VR with the VR Enhancements mod. Ok, I just tried this mod after having played through all of the original Subnautica in VR. So, if that makes sense, is there a way to do that? I think they'd have an absolute blast playing with me while I'm in VR, and I wouldn't mind giving feedback on that interaction to you, multi-player, VR and non VR. ![]() So, my question to you is this there a way to install this on two computers without having to use Steam? I'd install it on mine using Steam, but since it isn't in the Windows Store, I can't get it on theirs. I advised him it was Early Access, and showed him all the warnings you had about it being a broken game and such, and that as it was only in Steam I couldn't get it for him because it'd violate the terms of use (I know, I can create an account that'saged up, but I'mtrying to stay above board). He loves Subnautica, him and his sister both actually, but they play it through the Windows Store via Game Pass because I can create a child account there.Īnyways, he wanted Subnautica Sub Zero for his birthday. My son, who is 11 years old is outside of Steam's "Terms of use" age.
